Eric spent the past weekend at Viking Speedway for a 2 day event. Saturday went well with a heat race win and a 3rd place feature finish. Sunday also had a promising start with Eric moving from 8th to 3rd in his heat. He was running in 5th during the feature when an incident in turn 4 caused Eric to be spun and brought out the caution. Although he had slowed to miss the car in front of him and was hit from behind, the call was made against him for stopping the race, and he was sent to the back, finishing 19th.

After multiple rain outs, the 2011 racing season finally got under way last Friday night as Eric debuted his new Rocket chassis at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, MN. Eric earned a 1st place heat finish and a 2nd place feature finish during his first race of the season. He headed to Viking speedway in Alexandria, MN on Saturday, but it was a short night, ending with a breakdown while running 2nd in the heat race.
